‼️ At least 11 historical sites in Iran, including Naqsh-e Jahan Square, damaged in Israeli airstrikes

♦️ UNESCO has confirmed through satellite imagery the damage to 7 sites in these attacks carried out on March 7 and 9. Among these are two World Heritage sites, four nationally important cultural assets, and one religious site.

♦️ The organization has not yet been able to send any observer team to Iran to assess the situation.

♦️ Among the damaged sites, Tehran's Golestan Palace and Grand Bazaar, four monuments of Isfahan's Naqsh-e Jahan Square, Chehel Sotoun Complex, Isfahan's Jameh Mosque, and the UNESCO-listed Andimeshk railway station of the Trans-Iranian Railway are notable.
