Kashmir Martyrs' Day

On this day 95 years ago (13th July 1931), outside the Srinagar Central Jail, the Dogra Maharaja's soldiers shot and killed 22 Kashmiri Muslims for protesting against the farcical and shameful trial imposed on Kashmiri leader Abdul Qadeer.

Kashmiri Muslims observe this day as 'Martyrs' Day'.
