A big surprise has been seen this time in the traditional cheese rolling competition of Gloucestershire, England. Long-time legendary competitor and 23-time champion Chris Anderson (38) returned to the field, breaking his retirement. Because, German YouTuber Tom Kopke (24) had directly challenged him.

Participants in the competition run down England's famous steep Cooper's Hill behind an approximately 8-pound (about 3.6 kg) double Gloucester cheese. The hill is so dangerous that many competitors tumble, get injured, and even risk breaking bones.

Although Chris Anderson was ahead at the start of the race, Tom Kopke brilliantly overtook him midway and finished first at the finish line. This is Tom's third consecutive title. After winning, he said, "The cheese I won this time is the sweetest cheese of my life."

This year's weather also made the competition more difficult. With temperatures exceeding 30° Celsius in the recent heat, the soil of the hill became hard, which increased the risk of injury if one fell.

Interestingly, although this century-old competition has been officially closed since 2010 due to safety reasons, locals have still been organizing it unofficially. Every year, brave competitors from different countries of the world come to run down this terrifying hill just to win a cheese.
